The Skar Audio EVL-18 D2 18-inch dual 2-ohm subwoofer redefines the concept of low-end sound reproduction. The engineering that went into developing the EVL series is simply amazing, and it shows in the sound quality and performance that this subwoofer demonstrates. The EVL-18 can deliver incredibly accurate and powerful bass, due to a variety of unique, advanced design features that put this subwoofer in a class of its own.
Conservatively rated at 2,500 watts peak power, the EVL-18 D2 features a massive high flux, double stack ferrite motor structure - which delivers the driving force behind the tremoring lows this subwoofer can produce. Combine the motor with the black coated 3" high temperature voice coil of this driver, as well as the advanced air flow cooling design of the basket, and it quickly becomes evident why this woofer is capable of being played at the highest levels of output for hours on end.
Furthermore, the high roll foam surround incorporated into the design of this subwoofer is one of the reasons it can produce those ultra-low-end frequencies with such responsiveness. The suspension design of this subwoofer features the EVL's signature red, single damper, two-layer spider - which connects to the coil former with premium stitched lead wires. All these incredible features make this EVL subwoofer the unequivocal choice when looking for a high-quality car subwoofer.

Great subwoofer! Hit 150db so far with 4 of them, going to be ordering 2 more soon for 6 eighteens! Great sound from lows to highs. The staff at D4S was awesome, had a bit of a hiccup with the intial purchase but was resolved quickly with great communication. The final 2 will be ordered from D4S just because of their friendly staff!

AMAZING!
I ordered the EVL18 for my home studio and built a 3 cubic foot sealed enclosure for it. I'm still breaking it in and it just keeps sounding better every day. I wired it in series to produce a 4 ohm load for my Behringer iNUKE3000 DSP, which is said to produce 3000W max and 2100W RMS (at 4 ohms bridged). I doubt it's making that much, but 1500W RMS is probably safe to assume. This sub is taking it with ease. I'd say it is way under-rated at 1250W/2500W. As for JP and his guys at Down4Sound, I ordered this sub on a Saturday night (~7:30pm CDT) and had a working tracking number a couple hours later. It was actually showing movement so it was out the door. Another 5 stars for D4S!
