Are you ready for the ultimate alternator upgrade to the venerable 4.2L GM engines? Look no further than our new custom billet housing 400-amp option! With 200 amps of available output just at idle this is a great and easy to install upgrade to ensure you get the most from your added components. We make the wiring simple as well with our included H104 harness with break out wire. Simply click into the OEM alternator plug, click into the alternator and connect the long single yellow wire to a tested 12v switched source from the vehicles fuse box. This will ensure the alternator stays turned on at low vehicle RPM's and also keeps that battery light off! Add your 0-gauge power and ground wires from our alternator directly to your battery and you are good to go! Using the same components as all of our Denso based large case 400-amp alternators, we've created the most rigid one-piece housing that ensures maximum alignment when under full load production. Alignment is key as it ensures good belt contact, belt wear and even down to internal rotor bearing life. Please note that this alternator uses our standard high output 1.75" pulley so you will need a half-inch shorter serpentine belt.
