Sundown Audio x v2 15
We mate these new platforms to a triple stacked 220mm (8.66”) diameter motor structure featuring a hyper-extended pole and extreme clearances (allowing up to 4" p-p travel before mechanical bottom). This motor drives a 3" diameter 4-layer CCAW coil wound on a thick aluminum former to incredible levels of excursion. For the v.2 revision we upgraded the coil to a new “black coil” design which handles significantly more heat than the coil form the X v.1 series.
The Sundown Audio X v.2 15 inch subwoofer series was designed from the ground-up to become the new standard in the low-frequency / small ported box subwoofer category in this price range. They will work in the same small enclosures that you are used to using for Sundown Audio subwoofers, although, the will tolerate enclosures up to about 50% larger than those if you desire even more low-end extension.
The Sundown X v.2 series 15 is really a different kind of woofer due to its incredibly linear suspension. They are designed for the LOWEST level of bass extension possible in a small enclosure while maintaining extremely low levels of distortion.
One of the most obvious changes from the v.1 series is the much larger motor structure (220mm vs. 190mm on the v.1 series). The motor ventilation has also been improved and we also upgraded to the all-new Mega-Roll v.2 surround which is a more linear & more rugged update to our world-famous Mega-Roll v.1 surround design.

Sundown audio X Series
I am totally blown away by this sub literally. I replaced a Skar audio zvx 15 with it and there's no comparison . This speaker hits super low and clean. Im running it on an old school Xtant 1000.1 which obliviously is underpowering it. But it drops, the sub barely moves but absolutely slams !! I'll never buy another brand again . Service was great shipping came early . Lol my only complaint is with myself I should have gone sundown years ago. Not too mention the free gear the shirt is super comfortable the voltmeter looks crisp up in my dash . You have a customer for life . Thank you

Banger
Put these in my ram then rebuilt for my Forester. Aka she slams in every vehicle.! Very smooth break in and very consistent through every freq. Set these up right and you can play any genre and still smack the low notes that we all love. Came for the low. And stayed for the versatility. Very happy about the customer service I got from D4S and they kept me updated and never left me in the dark.

She slams!!
Let me just tell you, I started my first system with 2 kicker L7 12's and it sounded good for what it was at the time but I figured it was time to upgrade because I wanted deep low bass so decided to go with sundown X series subs. As soon as everything was hooked with my self built custom 4.3 cb box at 32 hz, this thing slammed like there was no tomorrow, my back glass and my wipers were flexing hard! Best purchase I have ever made without a doubt.
