Description

This 320-amp alternator is designed for a wide range of GM vehicles with the 2.0 and 2.5 engine applications. This 320-amp version is made for the MAX EFFORT customer needing all of the amperage available on this platform. We bypass the vehicles RVC system and use a single wire turn on (our P101 harness) with an internal regulator for higher/more stable voltage. We also include our P103 plug to ensure the battery light remains off. The 320-amp option offers the most amperage at higher or driving RPM's but may not put out as much idle RPM amperage as our 240-amp option. Most daily drivers and/or mild audio upgrades can use the 240-amp version and the customer participating in competitions or extreme audio systems would lean more towards the 320-amp version. This alternator uses a smaller 1.75" diameter pulley so a 1/2" or so serpentine belt is required for proper performance and maximum output. Please check our QUICK BELT FINDER for this option. This RVC bypassed version is also compatible with our plug and play GM 4pin voltage boosting harnesses found in our Plugs and Harnesses section. These can raise your standard 14.6-14.9 voltage in half volt increments up to a high 16-volt area.

Warranty Information

2 year performance guarantee. The MechMan two year warranty applies to Mechman Alternators sold ON or AFTER 07/13/2011. This limited two year warranty allows the customer to return his or her MechMan alternator for repair for a full two years after the alternator purchase date. This warranty does not cover other parts or equipment on the vehicle, and does not cover labor for removal or installation of the alternator. This warranty is VOID if the MechMan alternator is modified, physically abused, misused, improperly installed, or is not used in the application for which it was designed. The MechMan two year warranty is non-transferrable. The customer must include a copy of the original invoice when sending in their alternator in order to receive warranty service. The customer is responsible for shipping the alternator to the Mechman facility for warranty service, Mechman will pay return shipping back to the customer for all alternators under warranty. As an added service, MechMan will also service any MechMan alternator of any age or condition for the cost of parts and return shipping. (We provide the labor to repair the alternator for free!)
