Are you ready for the ultimate alternator upgrade to the venerable 4.2L GM engines? Look no further than our new custom billet housing 400-amp option! With 200 amps of available output just at idle this is a great and easy to install upgrade to ensure you get the most from your added components. We make extracting all the power from this alternator very easy by including our single wire turn on harness(P101) and also our RVC bypass plug(P103). With these newer Trailblazer models relying on GM's Regulated Voltage Control we opted to bypass this for the customers wanting the most output from their investment. A simple single wire will need connected to a 12v switched source from the fuse box to ensure the alternator is operating properly. Once our P103 plug is installed to the vehicles OEM 2pin connector this will now keep your battery light from turning on. Add your 0-gauge power and ground wire to our alternator and run directly to your battery and you all set! Using the same components as all of our Denso based large case 400-amp alternators, we've created the most rigid one-piece housing that ensures maximum alignment when under full load production. Alignment is key as it ensures good belt contact, belt wear and even down to internal rotor bearing life. Please note that this alternator uses our standard high output 1.75" pulley so you will need a half-inch shorter serpentine belt.
