I see sundown finally decided to sell these to the public, I had a pair of x12’s, had them in my enclosure less then two years, one day I heard some rattling coming out my sub box, had no idea what it was, pulled the sub out and one of the terminals was cracked where it bolted down to the basket, i was jus going to put some epoxy on it but decided to contact sundown about as it was still under warranty, they asked for pictures which I provided, asked for the receipt which I provided, sent me a rma number along with a shipping label. Sent it to them for them to contact me and say they weren’t going to cover it beings it was user error, meaning it was my fault the terminal cracked and in the same sentence they said they seen that happen a lot as ppl crack them when dropping them in their enclosure. Then tried to get me to pay another 300 dollars to get my sub back. Why not just tell me from the beginning after seeing the pics I sent them, they weren’t going to fix it? I’ll never buy another Sundown product again. I sold my other X12 along with the amp and replaced my subs with some Skar VXF12’s on a DC 5k and honestly, they sound better and are still holding that 5k with no issues for a fraction of the price.
