The Sundown Audio X12 v3 D1 has a bigger motor and graduates to the Zv5 coil. So also more linear Xmax. Which Means More output and less distortion and more power handling vs. the Sundown Audio X12 v2 D1 -- the X12 v3 is like 85% of a Z v5 . with these upgrades; sundown audio has added 500 more watts to the power handling making it one of the most potent 12-inch subwoofers in the world, that also sounds good.

Beautiful sub. I have it connected to a D4S - JP23 amp @ 1ohm. big 3 electrical. with AGM Battery at Rear (BMW X5) next to amp. Unbelievable Power the JP23 amp puts out, the JP23 comes with the best bass knob, it has indicators for cliping, protect, temp .. and you can scroll through Voltage, temp in C and then F. I built custom Box per Sundown web page cutsheet. and this sub hits super hard, solid deep tight bass. it goes low 25ish hz but the box peaks at 38hz and just powerful massive bass. from a single sub. it rocks the X5 hard and body panels be flexin. i got to crack open the sunroof to keep it from smashing itself. pure hard unlimited bass. its extreme.

Definitely gonna buy another soon hits hard and it’s starving for power ready to get it fully dialed in
