Designed with an extended pole piece and an incredible four inches of peak-to-peak excursion, the X v.3 is engineered for ultra-deep bass and high power handling. Engineered to set a new standard in the low-frequency/small-ported-box subwoofer category, the X Series can also work in up to a 50% larger enclosure if you desire even more low-end extension.
The X v.3 series differentiates itself with its incredibly linear suspension, ensuring the lowest level of bass extension in a small enclosure while maintaining extremely low levels of distortion. Notably, the v.3 series features a much larger motor structure (220mm vs. 190mm on the v.1 series), improved motor ventilation, and an all-new Mega-Roll v.2 surround, providing a more linear and rugged update to the world-famous Mega-Roll v.1 surround design.

Quality seems suspect
These sound great, but the terminal base crumbled into pieces the very first time i tried to put a wire in. The plastic seems very brittle. I find it strange an $80 Walmart subwoofer can have a better terminal design than a $600+ subwoofer.

Very happy with this beast
I’m unbelievably impressed with this sub. I had a box custom built for it per sundowns specs by sonix enclosures. On only 700-800 watts it’s ridiculously loud in my single cab truck. I’ve had a lot of different set ups 2 10’s, 2 12’s, single 12, 2 15’s, single 15 but this one is the loudest by farrrr. Extremely happy

i posted a comment for THIS sub on the wrong sundown sub, that review is pending approval. and was posted not more than 4 min prior to this review. I write this , hoping to can move that review to this product... I posted on the sundown 12" x v3 *dvc1 (1ohm) and meant to post on the v3 dvc2 (2ohm). thanks.

This is a banging ass sub for my car its in my daily driver in a ported enclosure on about 1.5k watts @ 2ohms and this sub takes it no problem and it's knocking I will never buy another brand sundown has a customer for life
