Description

XS POWER TITAN8 PWR-S5 12V Lithium Battery (Burst Discharge)

This Titan8 Series Lithium Titanate Oxide (LTO) series uses a very high power lithium cell that is designed for very high burst output (up to 100 times its capacity) as well as very high charge current (30-60 times its capacity).  This translates to a single 10Ah module that can support burst current up to 1,000A, and can accept 300A of continuous charge current.  The built in 2/0 bussing allows up to 4 Positive and 4 Negative hidden direct connections to each module without the need for any external exposed bussing, while still leaving two easily accessible top terminals and four series or parallel expansion terminals to easily build a bank of nearly any configuration from 12V, 24V, 36V, or any configuration imaginable.

    Best Lithium on the Market

These batteries are tiny but INSANELY powerful. I have a direct fit model (3400) under the hood and 3 of these in the spare tire well inside the trunk of my Chevy Malibu. I am using these to push a SALT-8 wired to 0.35 ohms, rising to 0.8 ohms after box rise, seeing 12500 watts at 12.2 volts. The amp is pulling at least 1460 DC amps from these, if not quite a bit more (haven't done exact measurements on the amp draw/efficiency yet). NOTE: These batteries WILL drop down and operate in the 12.1-13.0 volt range, this is how they are designed. If you want to maintain 14 volts while playing full tilt, you need to buy the S6 (14V) model and charge it to at least 15.6 volts from the alternator. Make sure not to do that with the SALT amps, they hate anything above 14.8!
