Description

Introducing Power Lite - Surge Audio's budget-friendly series of high power amplifiers. These models were designed from the ground up, to be anything other than average. PL Series amplifiers feature a military-grade PCB with the most copper tracing possible, added standoffs for extreme vibration resistance, and overbuilt transformers to withstand the heaviest of abuse.

Cooling is key. The PL Series heatsink was custom tooled to optimize cooling capacity. We made use of thermal modeling to determine the best thermal conductivity of our heatsink options. Beyond that, we have spaced the mounting feet 1/4" below the heatsink to allow for additional airflow below the backplate of the amplifier.

All PL Series amplifiers include silver plated Tiffany style RCA inputs, four-stage intelligent protection circuitry, and a remote bass knob with clipping, voltage, and temperature indication.

    Amp smokes

Posted by Jonathan on Apr 22, 2024

Bought this amp and haven't even gotten to enjoy it before it started smoking was told it was probably thermal paste but regardless it shouldn't happen tried reaching out to Collin via email and no luck getting him to respond to stand behind his product.

    Smoked

Amp started smoking and something inside burning up just 5 min into playing time. Kept playing and never went into protect. Had to remove my fuse. Would stop smoking as long as it was on. Burning electrical smell. Returning it and would like to pay the difference and get the Surge 4K or a JP33. Going to stick to real Korean boards, not made in China.

Alot of flux so all I can smell is it burning and still smoke a little but does not over heat and still puts out power. Hoping that goes away
