Description

Introducing Power Surge - Surge Audio's flagship series of high power amplifiers. These models were designed from the ground up, to be anything other than average. PS Series amplifiers feature a military-grade PCB with the most copper tracing possible, added standoffs for extreme vibration resistance, and overbuilt transformers to withstand the heaviest of abuse.

Cooling is key. The PS Series heatsink was custom tooled to optimize cooling capacity. We made use of thermal modeling to determine the best thermal conductivity of our heatsink options. Beyond that, we have spaced the mounting feet 1/4" below the heatsink to allow for additional airflow below the backplate of the amplifier.

All PS Series amplifiers include silver plated Tiffany style RCA inputs, four-stage intelligent protection circuitry, and a remote bass knob with clipping, voltage, and temperature indication.

    Originally bought the 3k but had problems with the output inductors. They kept smoking and were clearly burning up just after first use. I immediately contacted Colin over at Surge Audio letting him know what was happening. He gave me instructions to send it to the amp lab. I made it clear to him that I’m willing to pay the difference on a new 4K instead, and he immediately credited my full purchase towards a 4K within a few minutes of me talking to him. He had the 4K amp shipped within the hour. I was very happy. After just playing the amp for the first time, I’m really impressed. Sound quality is fantastic of course. Everything is super heavy duty (because it’s made in Korea). And the color looks really good. It’s a fairly small size for a Korean made 4K as well. Also seems to be very efficient. I noticed my voltage is a lot healthier than most other smaller amps I’ve ran. I’m running it at 1 ohm to a Trinity M12 with the gain at 3/4 and everything else off, SLAMMING and it’s not going below 13.5v and my headlights are on. I have a 2016 V6 Accord with a big interstate AGM battery, big 3, and just 10 AH of lithium. All 0 awg OFC wiring. I figured I would for sure need a bigger alternator, but that isn’t the case. Also, I only am using 300 amp fuses right now. So I’m clearly not drawing huge amperage either. I’m very impressed and happy. Thank you, Serge Audio for helping me out. The original 3K was purchased from D4S

    I absolutely love dis amp efficient,good sound quality and underrated power.she gets the job done with some authority and does not get hot

    Bought this amp and installed it about a month ago and I have to say it’s awesome. Doesn’t really get hot that fast when you’re going hard on that bass. Thanks to the people at D4S for the great customer service.

    This thing is beautiful, it pushes almost 5k with ease at 1ohm, And almost 7k at half ohm it's super efficient. The Plexi bottom makes it that much more pretty. I'm 100% satisfied with this amp
